An 18-year-old Indian-origin student named Vaishnav Krishnakumar tragically died of sudden cardiac arrest during Diwali celebrations in Dubai on October 21, 2025. Vaishnav collapsed while dancing at the event held in Dubai International Academic City. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
Vaishnav was a first-year BBA Marketing student at Middlesex University Dubai and a UAE Golden Visa recipient, recognized for his academic brilliance and leadership. He had no known underlying heart conditions and maintained a disciplined lifestyle with regular exercise and attention to his mental and physical well-being. He is survived by his parents and a younger sister, and repatriation arrangements for his body to Kerala are underway for the final rites. The Dubai Police Forensic Department is conducting further tests related to his sudden death.
