Deport Every Indian Immediately': US Politician Censured For Anti-India Hate Speech.

A US politician, Chandler Langevin, a city council member from Palm Bay, Florida, was formally censured by the city council for making inflammatory and anti-India remarks on social media calling for the mass deportation of Indians from the United States. Langevin's posts, in which he demanded the deportation of "every Indian immediately" and accused Indians of exploiting America financially, sparked widespread outrage among Indian American groups, civil rights organizations, and members of Congress. The censure vote restricted Langevin's powers as a city commissioner, requiring consensus approval for agenda items, removing him from committees, and barring him from making commissioner comments during council meetings. Langevin claimed his remarks targeted temporary visa holders, not the entire Indian American community. His statements have been widely condemned as racist and xenophobic.
