Nine hurt in Russian drone attack on Kyiv, city official says.

An overnight Russian drone attack on Kyiv wounded nine people and caused damage to buildings across the city, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv's military administration. The attack hit ten locations, including two apartment buildings directly. This was the second consecutive night of Russian drone attacks on Kyiv amid a broader campaign targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure ahead of winter. The specific target of this latest attack remains unclear. Images showed overturned vehicles and buildings with shattered windows. The drone attacks are part of Russia's intensified offensive since its full-scale invasion began in February 2022. Previous attacks killed several people across Ukraine and caused power outages. Both Ukrainian and Russian officials deny targeting civilians, with Russia stating its strikes are in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilian sites .
