Waffles sold at Dollarama recalled across Canada due to mold.

Waffles sold at Dollarama stores across Canada have been recalled due to mold contamination. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued the recall for Biskwi brand Waffles with Chocolaty Filling (180-gram packages) after discovering microbial contamination linked to mold growth .

Recall details

Product name: Biskwi Waffles with Chocolaty Filling.

Package size: 180 grams.

UPC: 6 67888 54812 5

Best-before dates: Between April 21, 2026, and May 12, 2026.

Distribution: Sold nationally at Dollarama stores.

Recall classification: Class 3 (poses a low health risk, mainly a quality/spoilage issue) .

CFIA and Dollarama statements

The CFIA advises consumers not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected waffles. While the recall is categorized as low risk, the mold contamination indicates spoilage, which can affect the product’s safety and quality .

Dollarama confirmed that all affected items have been blocked from sale nationwide, ensuring that the recalled waffles cannot be scanned or purchased at checkout. Customers who bought the product are encouraged to stop using it immediately and contact Dollarama customer service for refunds or further instructions.

 Health risk

The CFIA notes that this recall is a non-harmful microbial issue related to quality degradation, not a pathogen like Listeria or Salmonella. It falls under a notification alert rather than a health hazard warning.

This is Dollarama’s second food recall in 2025, following an earlier one in June involving smoothie pops due to undeclared milk allergens
